"There are solutions to all the problems. Therefore, there is a solution to everything which we think is unsolvable," he added.

Infosys has 50 acres in Rajarhat, which was slated to be the company’s first foray into Bengal. The land bought at Rs 1.5 crore an acre, at a total of Rs 75 crore has been with Infosys with November 2010.

The project hit a limbo as the IT major is seeking SEZ (special economic zone) status to go ahead withy the project. But Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government said that it was in-principle opposed to SEZ and refused to make an exception for IT major Infosys by allowing it the SEZ status. The SEZ status allows the company some tax benefits. Meanwhile, West Bengal government wrote to Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma, to extend the STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) incentive schemes for the Infosys project instead of the SEZ status demanded by it.

West Bengal IT minister Partha Chatterjee recently met Infosys' Odisha unit head Niladri Misra recently. Apart from STPI proposals, Chatterjee reportedly also offered the company the option of becoming a co-developer in any of the existing SEZs.
