Agro commodity update: Mangal Keshav

Inflow of chilli crop stood 63,000-65,000 bags at Guntur market while most of the crop got traded at auctions held at Guntur market. Spot rates for exchange quality crop increased by Rs 50-60 per quintal, due to increase in off-take & demand for
new crop.

Arrivals of jeera crop stood steady at 2,500-3,000 bags of stockist, but increased to about 5,000 bags of new crop from farmers while trades were firm on high demand for new crop at Unjha market. Spot rates of jeera for exchange quality crop were unchanged at Rs 137-139 per kg, as per trade sources.

Spot rates of pepper garbled increased at Rs 339 per kg and that of un-garbled was up at Rs 324 per kg. Arrivals increased to 7 tons while trades too were up at 19 tons at Kochi market, as per IPSTA.

Turmeric arrivals increased to more than 10,000 at Nizamabad market and about 18,000 bags at mandis of Erode. Spot rates for new crop declined to Rs 45-Rs 48 per kg while old crop was sold around Rs 40 per kg, as per local traders.

Average price of small cardamom increased to Rs 680.4 per kg, while the maximum price offered was up at Rs 897 per kg, as per spice board. Total inflow of small cardamom crop declined to 45.4 tons from which about 45.1 tons were sold
at CPMC auction held at Kumily.

Inflow of soya bean crop declined to around 1.5-1.6lakg bags across major trading centers, with around 0.7-0.8lakh bags across MP market and 0.3-0.4lakh bags across mandis of Maharashtra & Rajasthan, as per trade sources.
 
Spot rates of offered by planters were steady around Rs 25.6-25.9 per kg while rates offered at mandis of Indore closed near to Rs 25 per kg., as per local traders.

Guar seed arrivals declined to 1,758 quintals, while the average of the closing spot rates were up at Rs 14,577.5 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan.

Inflow of mustard seed crop declined to 32,515 quintals, while average of closing spot rates were up at Rs 3,117.5 per quintal, as per agriculture marketing board of Rajasthan. Total arrivals of mustard seed crop were reported
 
steady ~1.7lakh bags with about 1.5lakh bags of new crop from farmers. Spot rates of new crop increased to Rs 35.5-36 per kg across major  trading centers, as per market reports.

Mentha oil futures witnessed a range-bound session, but traded & closed with positive momentum on the back of increase in demand from local buyers and steady arrivals. Spot rates too were up & closed near Rs 1,900 per kg mark.
