Bafna Pharmaceuticals today reported a widening of its standalone net loss to Rs 2.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012, over the same period previous fiscal.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 85 lakh for the quarter ended March 31, 2011, Bafna Pharmaceuticals said in a filing to BSE.

The net sales of the company increased to Rs 32.73 crore in the quarter from Rs 29.60 crore in same period year ago.

The company's net profit for 2011-12 fiscal stood at Rs 20.74 crore against Rs 33.48 crore for the previous fiscal.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 120.98 crore for FY 12 from Rs 101.30 crore for FY11.

Shares of Bafna Pharmaceuticals were today trading at Rs 49 in the afternoon trade on BSE, down 1.21% from its previous close.
