| Navneet Daga : Hello good morning, |
| Smartinvestor : Hello Navneet and welcome back. The Nifty has slipped below the 4,800 levels at open today. Do you expect more weakness in the days ahead? |
| Navneet Daga : There are classic sense of bear market capitulization happening, with the risk mounting and growth slippling acorss the world markets, we think its lots more pain still to come. On nifty 4770-65 is a major support points on very short term basis, we expect markets to grind lower below this levels towrads 4650 in coming days. |
| Smartinvestor : Most consumer durable stocks have seen a deep cut in today's session. How should one position themselves in this sector now? |
| Navneet Daga : Well with the domestic dismal GDP fiqure would play as and over hang on this sector, with expensive valuation still, we think that we might see a round of strong sector rotation high beta stocks falling and defensive coming back into actions from here on. |
| Smartinvestor : Is it a good time to play the defensive spaces right now, such as FMCG and pharma? Do you like anything in these spaces for a long / short position? |
| Navneet Daga : Pharma is the good space to hide on in this falling markets, we like auropharma, divi lab, & glaxo. While on the FMCG pack the most difficult part is over hang from GDP slippage and monsoon uncertainity might keep the gains limited. |
| Smartinvestor : What is your view on the banking and auto spaces? |
| Navneet Daga : Banking and auto might be in the rough ride from here on as well, we have seen this sector outperforming for long time now, we have seen major short build up on banking and auto counter recently prominent one are Axis bank, HDFC Bank, and from auto pack maruti and tata motors. We think any short term bounce should be used to exit the sector and exterme short term traders should catch the upmove for shorting oppurtunities. |
